If you haven’t seen the news by now, I’m excited to be the one to tell you that Tim Kaine officially kicked off his re-election campaign today.

Now, he’s going on tour! And no, not the type of tour you’re thinking of. It’s not like he’s heading to concert arenas around the country to perform. But honestly, I wouldn’t put it past him to do something like that. That’s how good he thinks he is at the harmonica. (He is actually incredibly talented, but I could never say that to his face).
But I’m getting off topic. I’m not writing to you to make fun of Tim, as much as I might like to.
On this tour, Senator Kaine is hitting the road to talk about all the work he’s done to help Virginians in every corner of the Commonwealth. He kicked off the tour today in Richmond, then he’ll make stops in Leesburg, Dumfries, Norfolk, and more, where he’ll share his record of standing up for good jobs, standing up for equality, standing up for lower health care and education costs, standing up for reproductive freedom, and standing up for voting rights.
Today and every day, I couldn’t be more proud to stand with my friend Tim. That’s what his campaign is all about – standing up together. This November, we have a chance to stand up against the Republican Party that wants to tear us and our progress down.
