During my time in office, public health has been a top issue for me. Ensuring that our communities are healthy and that people are living up to their potential is key to making our country better and brighter. To do that, health care must be accessible and affordable.
I’ve advocated for millions in funding to support rural health care and resolve the shortage of health care workers in Georgia. I’ve called on Governor Kemp to expand Medicaid to prevent hospital closures, support our medical centers, and expand the health care available for seniors. I’ve supported bills to increase access to telehealth, lower prescription drug prices, and expand insurance coverage. I’ve fought for better food and nutrition for students in school.
Despite all of that though, the public health of our communities remains at risk. For too many Americans, health care is too expensive and inaccessible — which is why I remain committed to working towards solutions.
