We wrapped 2023 with historic legislative wins at the state level to stop toxic fossil fuel projects and cut emissions for communities across the country. While historic, more investments for climate solutions must be made across the board.
It is crucial that our elected officials make federal investments large enough to truly meet the scale of the climate, labor, and racial justice crises before 2030, and that’s why our coalition is hitting the ground running — 2024 is the year for Green New Deal-style legislation that works for everyone, not just the wealthy elite.
We want to hear your thoughts on the state of the Green New Deal movement and your priorities. What are your top climate priorities, issues, and fights for 2024? Please take a couple of minutes to complete our survey and share your thoughts with our team! Your response will help shape our ongoing advocacy efforts.
Six years away from our deadline of 2030, our fight continues for an equitable and transformative Green New Deal future. We need community leaders and activists to push politicians to act boldly on all levels of government and fund a cleaner, fairer, and more reliable future for generations to come. Anything short of that will put millions of lives in danger and widen the inequities that permeate our economy.
Our network is uniquely positioned to win state and local Green New Deal legislation, support progressive candidates, and ensure federal infrastructure and climate funding goes to community-led solutions during this critical election year. November is not far off, and we need to keep up the momentum to fight for pro-climate candidates at all levels of government.
In solidarity,
— Green New Deal Network
