Normally, with the political contributing period coming to an end, I would be writing you asking for a donation to my campaign. But as you know, these are not normal times.

It is more important than ever that we serve each other. That is why, instead of a donation, I am asking that you give of yourself to help our community.

I have been heartened and encouraged by the way that Texans have stepped up and come together during this trying time. Few things are more important than community and I am proud to be part of ours.

Due to the situation, there is an increased need among the elderly and less fortunate. Meals on Wheels of North Central Texas ([link removed]) and Meals on Wheels ([link removed]) in Tarrant County are great ways to help others. If you want to volunteer to help deliver meals, please get in contact with them.
