As America confronts the COVID-19 pandemic, the Trump
administration is using the crises as an excuse to reward
polluters by slashing the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA)
enforcement of environmental regulations.

In just the last week, they have announced a relaxation of the
enforcement of pollution controls for power plants and other
industrial producers, as well as a plan to reverse standards on
car emissions.

Sign here to stand against the Trump administration's
exploitation of COVID-19 to undermine environmental standards,
reward special interests, and put us all in more danger.

In normal times these attacks on the environment would be
disturbing, but in the context of a pandemic that attacks the
respiratory system, this move adds insult to injury.

Shockingly, the EPA went as far as to publicly waive its right
to act even if there is an imminent threat to public health.

Cynthia Giles, who was in charge of enforcement in the Obama
administration, remarked that she was "not aware of any instance
when EPA ever relinquished this fundamental authority."

Add your name to join me in condemning the Trump administration
for slashing environmental enforcement in the middle of a
respiratory pandemic!
