The Maine House today gave its final approval to the National Popular Vote bill by 73-72 vote (status of LD1578).

Maine House SpeakerĀ Talbot Ross (one of the bill's sponsors) presided over the voteĀ

The House vote today is a major victory and moves us one step closer to enacting NPV into law in Maine.

The bill now goes back to the Senate (where it previously passed 22-13) for a final vote on enactment, before heading to Governor Janet Mills' desk.

This would be a good time to remind legislators in your state to pass National Popular Vote in your state.
