March will always be a special month for El Paso because of Castner Range. This year, we’re celebrating the first anniversary of its designation as a national monument by President Biden. After decades of hard work and advocacy, our efforts paid off and it brings me such joy to know the crown jewel of West Texas will be protected for generations to come.
I was also able to attend President Biden’s State of the Union address earlier this month. Members of Congress are permitted to invite a guest to attend with them, and I had the opportunity to share this special night with Eduardo Carasco. Because of the Inflation Reduction Act, Mr. Carasco is one of the seniors across the country saving money on healthcare costs due to the law’s provision capping insulin prices at $35.
