event series April 4-5.
Panel discussions: Political Education and Permanent
War April 4 at 4pm-8pm University of
Maryland, Shoemaker Building 2102 Panel sessions
covering geographies of empire, as well as the role of political
education and activism dedicated to ending forever wars.
Please join us for two discussions that use the Korean War to
interrogate the legacies of U.S. empire and militarism.
The first session introduces the design of the Ending the
Korean War public syllabus and explores its uses in and beyond the
classroom. The second session will bring EKW members to discuss the
intersection of scholarship and politics from two anti-imperialist
activist organizations: Nodutdol and ANSWER Coalition.

National Detour Demo: End the Korean
War April 5 at 12pm WWII Memorial,
National Mall, Washington D.C. In place of a
U.S.-centric imperialist memorialization of the conflict, our
decolonizing people's itinerary will provide participants with
critical perspective on the state memory enshrined at the WWII,
Vietnam War, MLK, and Korean War memorials.
