ANSWER Coalition

End the Korean War: In the eighth decade of the unending Korean War, Ending the Korean War Teaching Collective, Nodutdol, ANSWER Coalition and others (see below) invite you to our Washington D.C. event series April 4-5.

Panel discussions: Political Education and Permanent War
April 4 at 4pm-8pm
University of Maryland, Shoemaker Building 2102
Panel sessions covering geographies of empire, as well as the role of political education and activism dedicated to ending forever wars.

Please join us for two discussions that use the Korean War to interrogate the legacies of U.S. empire and militarism.

The first session introduces the design of the Ending the Korean War public syllabus and explores its uses in and beyond the classroom. The second session will bring EKW members to discuss the intersection of scholarship and politics from two anti-imperialist activist organizations: Nodutdol and ANSWER Coalition.

Register for the event here.

National Detour Demo: End the Korean War
April 5 at 12pm
WWII Memorial, National Mall, Washington D.C.
In place of a U.S.-centric imperialist memorialization of the conflict, our decolonizing people's itinerary will provide participants with critical perspective on the state memory enshrined at the WWII, Vietnam War, MLK, and Korean War memorials.
