John,
Like other challenging times in our nation’s history, supporting disabled veterans right now is essential. Here is what DAV is doing to continue providing our life-changing services safely and effectively for veterans in need:
Across the country, all DAV National Service Offices are closed to foot traffic. However, our expertly-trained benefits advocates are available by phone and email to help veterans receive the medical, financial and educational benefits they’ve earned. |
While in many areas the DAV Transportation Network has been suspended by VA medical centers, we are doing everything we can to ensure this lifeline continues in the remaining areas for veterans who rely on us for lifesaving care. |
With the COVID-19 pandemic endangering American jobs, we have converted all DAV job fairs to virtual events so veterans in need have online access to meaningful employment opportunities, no matter where they are. |
As decisions affecting veterans and their families are made on Capitol Hill, DAV remains fully engaged and in direct contact with key VA leaders and congressional staff to ensure veterans’ voices continue to be heard. |
Furthermore, DAV has set a critical goal of raising $2,500,000 to provide unemployment relief to the thousands of veterans who are being laid off or have had to close their small businesses due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
YOU can help DAV change the lives of veterans in desperate need — and ensure all of our programs for our nation’s veterans continue during this unprecedented time — by making a donation for our nation’s veterans today.
Thank you for supporting our heroes.
