Write letters to voters in key states before November. Indivisibles,
Exciting news: we’re kicking off a new, massively important voter contact program, and you can do it from the comfort of your couch while social-distancing.
This week, we’re launching a partnership with VoteFWD. It’s a nationwide letter-writing campaign to reach voters in key states before the 2020 election to maximize impact and increase turnout.
Indivisibles (like you!) are experts at voter contact campaigns -- in 2018, we phone banked, knocked doors, and dragged our friends, families, and strangers to the polls, resulting in the takeback of the House and the blue wave. More recently, we texted key voters in our Payback Project states, and thousands of new activists joined local Indivisible groups as a result.
We fast-tracked VoteFWD because so many folks are stuck at home and looking for ways to stay engaged and active. This is a great way to focus on the things we can control, like building voter turnout in key states ahead of November.
Here’s how it works:
- Sign up to write letters by clicking here.
- Then, VoteFWD provides you with names, addresses, and a template to write letters to voters in important states.
- Save your letters and send them right before the election so that voters receive them at the perfect, most-strategic moment.
We’re encouraging groups to holddigital letter-writing parties so that Indivisibles can continue connecting with their communities but from the safety of their own homes. Many groups are already utilizing the VoteFWD tool, and we’re excited to launch this program on a national scale. Click here to check out the new letter-writing resource for more ways to plug into the movement digitally. We hope you’ll sign up to write letters now -- voters will need to hear from you before the election.
In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
