** Support Journalism in the Public Interest!
------------------------------------------------------------

============================================================

Dear FAIR Family,

In the midst of multiple global crises, it’s become increasingly clear that politicians, corporations and the legacy press are far too comfortable with the status quo that led us here. Amid war, poverty, xenophobia, attacks on democracy, the climate crisis and other forms of injustice, FAIR has made our position clear: We refuse to accept a world that only works for a few wealthy, powerful people and corporations.

For nearly four decades, we’ve been challenging the news media to truly serve the public—even when it means shaking up what’s comfortable for the powerful.

Right now, we’re beginning our spring appeal, with the goal to raise $20,000 by May 1 to support our basic operations. Amid a chronic dip in giving over the past few years, our small organization requires your generosity to keep delivering the news, analysis and criticism you rely on.

** Donate today to help us reach our goal! ([link removed])

FAIR is deeply involved in the work to reimagine a media system in the US that fulfills the needs of the people it serves, and bolsters a vibrant democracy where diverse and progressive points of view are given the platforms they deserve.

We require funds not just to maintain this work, but to expand it. FAIR has been facing financial challenges in recent years, but with your help, we believe we can turn this around!

Whether you can spare $5, $50, $500 or $5,000, every dollar you’re able to contribute helps us pay our small, hardworking staff and brilliant writers, keep the lights on, and ensure our website, radio show and newsletters are accessible and full of informative and narrative-shifting content.

** Please donate to support this crucial work! ([link removed])

Here are some of the pieces your donations have funded already:

* Fox News Border Stats Distort Immigration Reality, by Phillip HoSang
* CounterSpin: Phyllis Bennis on Gaza Ceasefire Resolution, Robert Weissman on Boeing Scandal
* ‘Free Speech’ Fan Elon Musk Enlists State Allies to Silence Critics, by Ari Paul

FAIR prides itself on the majority of our funds coming from individuals like you. Your support keeps this operation truly independent—loyal only to the truth and public interest.

We know these are hard times. We’re not asking you to reach into your pocket to give us your last dollar, but if you are able, your generosity will offer FAIR the financial security it needs to continue our mission unlimited and unencumbered.

** As long as we have the resources, we can assure you we won’t be shutting up anytime soon. ([link removed])

Thank you for supporting FAIR, and joining this fight for journalism that’s truly in the public interest.

In Solidarity,

Olivia Riggio, Julie Hollar, Janine Jackson and Jim Naureckas
And FAIR’s spring interns, Xenia Gonikberg and Phillip HoSang

FAIR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your donation is tax-deductible.
