Children's Defense Fund (CDF) envisions a nation where
marginalized children flourish, leaders prioritize their well-being,
and communities wield the power to ensure they thrive. Please join
me in urging the Senate to pass H.R. 7024, the Tax Relief for
American Families and Workers Act. 

H.R. 7024 marks a significant Child Tax Credit expansion tailored to
support families. This initiative is projected to benefit nearly 16
million low-income children, potentially lifting 400,000 out of
poverty within the first year alone and sparking economic mobility in
Black and Brown communities nationwide.

Despite passing the House with a vote of 350-70 on January 31, H.R.
7024 is currently stalled in the Senate. 

I urge you to join forces with CDF and a diverse coalition of
organizations to advocate for the swift passage of this crucial
legislation, especially concerning the Child Tax Credit. 

Time is of the essence, particularly in an election year when the
opportunity for substantial legislative action is rapidly diminishing.
Please contact your Senator and urge them to vote for H.R. 7024 upon
their return from recess.
