The Florida Supreme Court just issued a decision to uphold our state's 15-week abortion ban. That means Ron DeSantis' brutal six-week ban with almost no exceptions for rape or incest will automatically take effect in just 30 days.

Despite the lies and noise from far-right extremists, the result of this ruling is crystal clear: Our reproductive rights have been effectively destroyed in Florida.

This fight is only just beginning, friend. Despite this devastating ruling, the Florida Supreme Court also just ruled to uphold the abortion ballot initiative that would codify reproductive rights in our state constitution, which would end these extreme bans. And I'm running for Senate to defeat Rick Scott and vote to restore reproductive rights nationwide.

With Florida at the front of the fight for abortion rights, we need to stand strong. Will you add your name before midnight tonight to stand AGAINST extremist abortion bans? I'm counting on 50,000 people to sign on today.

Today, my heart breaks for the millions of families in Florida and across the country who have had their rights and access to medical care stripped away from them. As a mother of two young daughters, I’m scared too. But I refuse to let this loss stop my fight for reproductive freedoms — and you can't either.

I'm angry today, friend. And I'm going to use that anger to fuel me every single day until we defeat Rick Scott on Election Day.

Rick Scott said that, if he were still governor, he would sign this same exact six-week ban — even with no exceptions. And right now, he's fighting to take his far-right agenda nationwide by banning abortions in all 50 states. He even co-sponsored the national abortion ban. If we fail to defeat him this November, next year, he could have the votes in the Senate to do it. This is a fight that we cannot afford to lose.
