Recently, U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton, a Republican-appointed judge, condemned Trump's attacks on judges and their families hearing Trump's legal cases.
Judge Walton rightly stated that the rule of law can only be maintained if we have independent judicial officers who are able to do their job and ensure that the laws are enforced and applied equally to everyone who appears in our courthouse.
Agreed. Assaults on the rule of law by Trump are a real threat to our country and the beginning of tyranny.
I expect my Congressman, Jack Bergman, to stand up and say this is wrong, regardless of his support for Trump.
Our democracy and the institutions that it's based on are threatened.
