Metroplex West (Region 3W) and Our Community Our Kids (OCOK) Transition to Stage I

On April 1, 2024, Our Community Our Kids (OCOK) moved to Stage I of Community-Based Care (CBC) in Cook, Denton, and Wise counties in the Metroplex West community area. This transition occurred thanks to the collaboration of Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) and OCOK, and with the support of the community.

In Stage I, OCOK will be responsible for placement services and for building its provider network. ACH Child and Family Services (ACH), through its division Our Community Our Kids, has been our single source continuum contractor (SSCC) in the Metroplex West since 2014, serving seven of the 10 counties in the community. During this time, ACH has built a robust provider community and resource base and has continued to be a pioneer for CBC in Texas. ACH/OCOK has demonstrated a deep understanding of the goals of CBC.
