Fight for $15
**************************
John,
Last year: California fast food workers (my co-workers and I!) won a seat at the table and $20/hr.
Last month: We OFFICIALLY held the first-ever Fast Food Council meeting to sit down with employers to share our demands.
Today: The $20/hr minimum wage for California fast food workers goes into effect—the highest statewide wage for fast food workers in the NATION.
We’ve won so much, but our fight doesn’t stop here. Too often corporations try to avoid paying workers, even when it’s the law!
Help us spread word of this victory so workers know what they’re owed! [[link removed]]

Our historic victory for a Fast Food Council (our statewide seat at the table) and a living wage wasn’t fought in a day. For years, thousands of Black, brown, and white workers—primarily women and immigrant workers—staged strikes, walk-outs, petition drops, and rallies to show the world we meant business.
We stood up to greedy fast food corporations and anti-worker politicians. When we organize together, we win together and can finally start to unrig the rules meant to hold us down. [[link removed]]
Now that we're officially making $20/hr and have our seat at the table, we’ll focus on making sure fast food companies treat us right and give us annual raises. We're an example to workers in ALL industries to keep fighting.
Share our win on social media so fast food workers know what they’re owed—and so all workers know they can win too!
