Boundary Waters at Home
Our founders and some of our staff and supporters live right on the edge of the Boundary Waters, but the rest of us must visit in our own way this April 1st as we #optinside during the pandemic.

Additionally, please consider helping The Ely Area Food Shelf this month. They need to raise an additional $10,000 as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt the lives of so many in our Wilderness-edge community. The food shelf predicts the need for services may double or triple in the coming weeks and months. Learn more and donate here: [link removed]

Join us tomorrow afternoon *online* for a webinar all about trip planning
Life might look different than it did a month ago because many of us have been practicing social distancing, but the work to protect the Boundary Waters must move forward during these challenging times. Join us tomorrow, April 2, at 4 p.m. Central Time for another #OptInside Webinar with Ely Outfitting and Granite Gear to talk Boundary Waters trip planning and ways to get involved with the Campaign during these more isolated (and digital) times.

Lawsuit update: Trump-Appointed Judge Upholds Illegal Mining Leases Next to Boundary Waters
A judge ruled on March 17 to uphold the illegal sulfide-ore mineral leases next to the Boundary Waters. We sued in federal court along with 9 Northeastern Minnesota businesses to stop this project. This is a slap in the face to science, the rule of law, the Boundary Waters and the American people. We vow to continue the fight and will be appealing this misguided ruling.

Become a Digital Volunteer!

Digital volunteering is a great way to get involved in protecting the Boundary Waters, especially now during these more isolated (and digital) times as we all work to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic. We know that opinions are often shaped online and social media is becoming a place where movements are won, so help us protect the Boundary Waters for generations to come as a digital volunteer.
