SUPPORT SISTER DISTRICT'S STATE BRIDGES PROGRAM

Sister District DC Metro Area is excited to support our State Bridges partners in Pennsylvania this year! Join us, The Woman's National Democratic Club (WNDC), and Diversity Matters for our walk across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge on Sunday, April 14, and help us activate Sister District volunteers across the country.  We will be raising money for two organizations in Pennsylvania, a key swing state in 2024: Pennsylvania Stands Up and Pennsylvania United.

The walk will end at All Purpose Pizza, where we will celebrate our phenomenal feat with cocktails and comestibles.  All Purpose is located in the Navy Yards, just a short distance from the bridge.

Our crossing will begin at 11 am, rain or shine, at the southeast corner of the bridge in Anacostia.  We will meet in the grassy area at the foot of the bridge.  (Meeting point indicated with X on map below.)

Bring a bottle of water, comfortable shoes, AND your friends, and we will see you on April 14.

Suggested Donation: $25

Before You Go...

Sister District's mission is to imagine, build, and expand progressive power in state legislatures, and we know that organizing around elections is just one piece of the puzzle.

That's why we're amplifying the voices of local lawmakers, educating the public about the importance of state leaders and policies, and inspiring people to deepen their civic engagement -- especially locally and down-ballot.
