Wednesday's News Round-up The CDC says up to 25% of U.S. coronavirus carriers have no symptoms, meaning they might infect others unknowingly. Health experts are weighing whether to advise everyone going outdoors to wear a face mask in order to reduce virus transactions involving people unaware they are infected. A senior administration official says the federal government has nearly emptied its emergency stockpile of protective medical supplies like masks, gowns and gloves as governors plead for such items for hospital workers. Some, but not all, prominent economists say the global downturn could be longer and deeper than many people now expect. The 2008 financial crisis “was just a dry run for this,” Harvard economist Kenneth S. Rogoff told The New York Times.
