Team re:power at our Spring 2024 All Staff Retreat in North Carolina
Hello John,
As Spring arrives, I am carving out time to think about what seeds I am planting for myself, my team, and my community. What sprouts do I hope to see later in the season? What fruit do I hope to bear this coming Fall? Spring is a great time to think about what you can set up today that will yield positive results later this year. At re:power, we started Spring with an all-staff retreat focused on relationship-building and rest.
What are you planting this Spring? I hope it's some time to invest in yourself — and you might consider one of our great upcoming trainings as the perfect way to spend that time and energy! Scroll down to see what's coming up for the next several months!
Yours,
Karundi Williams
Executive Director

We're excited to announce that re:power’s annual fundraising campaign, re:powering our champions, has begun! Over the course of the next eight months, you’ll hear from some of our world class alumni and their allies about why re:power programming is essential to victory during and after the 2024 election cycle. We know that any champion is only as effective as their training prepares them to be; BIPOC progressives fighting for a multiracial democracy are no different.
From coaching newly elected officials through our Progressive Governance Academy to bolstering the skills of digital organizers on the virtual frontier, re:power is working to prepare 2,900 leaders for victory this year . And, we're trying to raise $100,000. Please donate today!

At the end of 2023, our Movement Building program partnered with the Empire Health Foundation (based in Spokane, WA) to support them in developing local BIPOC organizing capacity through training their grantee organizations. We're excited to share this amazing video of that partnership which describes the impact of re:power's training on the participants. WATCH VIDEO [[link removed]]

Here's what some training participants have to say about our recently concluded trainings!
“One piece of advice I have for future DAC participants coming in is embody the Elle Woods energy of "What, like it's hard?" Because so much of this data and tech stuff is so mystified, but you can really do it.” “What inspires me from this cohort is the wealth of information that's been available to us, the mentors, the different consultants and trainers that have come to our trainings, all have been putting us on game with new technologies, exposing us so we can apply it to our projects."
DATA ANALYTICS CAMP 2024 DATA X POWER 2023 COHORT
“I don't know how y'all make a 2 hour training fly by like it was only 30 min!!! LOL I learn so much/feel called in to engage and I don't realize how much time flies by.” “Very clear and helpful. I especially appreciated the hands-on exercises as a way of confirming understanding.”
