Dear John,
I sincerely hope those who celebrate are having a Blessed Easter holiday. Christ is Risen.
It seems our president, who claims to attend church service weekly, has chosen today to recognize the transgender community. While I have no issue designating a day to recognize transgender Americans, I do have issue with it being Easter Sunday. It is the most holy day in the Christian faith - and an affront to all Christians to choose today.
This is yet another example of how the Christian faith is under attack. In fact, all religious freedoms are being threatened. This administration, and the atheist Sean Casten, want us to rely on the government for our needs and not turn to God for strength. They are putting themselves above the Lord.
It's time for change! Once I am in Congress, I will work to defend our Constitution and protect our freedoms.
