Tonight, we’ll close the books on our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline and tomorrow, our team will start compiling a report of our campaign’s finances to send to the Federal Election Commission. Shortly after, that report will be made public.

You know, I’m always so proud of our FEC reports and what they say about our campaign — not only how much we’ve raised, but more importantly, how many folks are fighting for reproductive rights, affordable health care, living wages, and so much more right along with us.

But to be honest, this deadline makes me a little nervous, too. You see, this is the first snapshot folks will get of our team since the primary election. Everyone from Illinois voters to the media to our Republican opponent and national Republicans will be watching to see if we have what it takes to win this election and make history again.

That’s why it’s critical that we hit our goal before the deadline, but my team just let me know that we’re still 53 contributions short, and it’s incredibly important to me that we close the gap before midnight.
