John, it’s Abbey. I finally have a free moment this weekend after my hectic week at school, so I wanted to take some time to email you.

All of us at Teachers Unify are full-time teachers, myself included. It’s hard to juggle our jobs, fundraising, and organizing other educators and school staff to advocate for an end to gun violence – but we’ve still been able to accomplish so much thanks to grassroots supporters like you.

But to be honest with you, with our critical end-of-month deadline at midnight, we need to be raising more money to be on track for the rest of the year, or we won’t be able to continue our organizing and advocacy efforts.

I need to get back to lesson planning for tomorrow, John, but I can’t sign off without asking for your help to fund our fight for safer schools and communities – our success depends on it.
