I’m glad I caught you on this busy Sunday before you went offline for the evening.

In just a few hours we have to close the books on our end-of-quarter fundraising and disclose just how strong this people-powered campaign really is. My team just informed me that we are still pacing behind where we should be if we plan to hit this goal. We all wish Citizens United wasn’t a reality, but the current setup requires at least some money to meet our goals. And they aren’t random – they’re carefully tabulated to ensure we have the resources to mobilize volunteers and reach voters where they are.
