Our ceasefire movement is about all of us collectively raising our voices, demanding humanity for the 2.3 million Palestinians trapped in Gaza under relentless military bombardment and without food, water, and basic medical supplies.

Our movement is about more than a ceasefire. It’s about ending apartheid and the blockade, and ensuring that all Palestinians have a future in their homeland.

Since October, our campaign has received donations from 30,000 new donors. These are people from all walks of life, from across Michigan and the country who want to stop the genocide.

Now, at midnight tonight, we face one of the most important end-of-quarter fundraising deadlines of our campaign. After today, we'll report to the Federal Election Commission on how much we’ve raised and spent, and how much cash on hand we have for the election ahead.

Anti-Palestinian group AIPAC has pledged to spend $100 million in an attempt to defeat me and my colleagues who are criticizing the Israeli government’s human rights abuses. We must show AIPAC—and all of those who seek to maintain an unjust status quo of oppression and genocide—that we are strong and will not relent in our demands for a just peace now.

Rashida Tlaib doesn’t accept corporate contributions, relying instead on the support of thousands of grassroots supporters from across Michigan and the country.

Over the last 5 months as our government has facilitated a genocide, 30,000 new supporters have donated to support Rashida’s voice in our movement to save lives with a permanent ceasefire and equal human rights for the Palestinian people.

As the only Palestinian American member of Congress, Rashida’s bold leadership is essential. It helped pave the way for the 79 members of Congress to come out in support of a ceasefire, and more are starting to take stands against U.S. military aid to Israel.

But, many Congressmembers remain intimidated by threats from anti-Palestinian group AIPAC, which has pledged to spend $100 million in an attempt to defeat Rashida and other pro-ceasefire candidates running for election or re-election this year. Just this week, AIPAC paid for members of Congress to fly to Israel and meet with the genocidal Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

We must continue to grow our pro-ceasefire movement in the face of AIPAC’s $100 million campaign.

Tonight at midnight we will close the books on a critical end-of-quarter fundraising deadline and we need to continue to show the power of our grassroots anti-war movement.

Our movement for human rights is growing, as more people are outraged by our government’s complicity and want the horrors to stop. A majority of Americans (and 75% of Democrats) disapprove of Israeli military action in Gaza. These public opinion shifts matter, and they get the attention of leaders in our federal government with the power to change policy.
