For so many of us, the past couple of weeks have been fretful and anxiety-ridden.

Even though the unprecedented nature of this health crisis can feel overwhelming, I want to assure you that, no matter what, I am doing my best to keep CA-38 safe.

Here are some of the ways I'm doing my part, along with helpful links for accurate coronavirus-related information:

• I co-authored legislation included in the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which will provide free coronavirus testing for uninsured patients.

• Leading a bipartisan group in Congress, I urged our Agriculture Secretary to ease restrictions on which foods qualify for the WIC food assistance program. WIC-approved foods help low-income pregnant women, babies, and children get the nutrition they need. 

• I voted in favor of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which will help support hospitals, working families, small businesses, and students.

• Last week, I held a telephone town hall, fielding questions about COVID-19 from constituents across CA-38. And on Friday, April 3, I will be holding another telephone town hall, specifically for small businesses. 

• I am supporting non-profits which help folks being impacted by the economic side effects of coronavirus. Learn more about the Restaurant Workers Community Foundation and the National Domestic Workers Alliance's charitable organizations.
