Dear Friend,

All over Kentucky and America we are coming together in our fight against COVID-19. While these are challenging and unprecedented times, I believe in America. Throughout our history we the American people have persevered and conquered great challenges. Together we are going to win this war and America will prevail.

Below are some important updates on the efforts to combat this virus.
DIRECT RELIEF FOR KENTUCKY FAMILIES AND SMALL BUSINESSES

Congress was able to pass the most aggressive fiscal stimulus in American history. The CARES Act signed into law by President Trump equips hospitals and our healthcare workers with vital resources and gives American families and small business owners the cash flow they need to get back to work.

For small business owners please see these important resources from the U.S. Treasury and Small Business Administration:

SECURING PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Our healthcare workers, first responders and medical workers are heroes as they serve on the frontlines in our fight against COVID-19. We are grateful for their efforts and I will continue to advocate for them and ensure that they have the resources they need. I am thankful for the recent delivery of personal protective equipment (PPE) that I was able to help secure from the Strategic National Stockpile. I will continue to stand with our healthcare workers and first responders fighting for us on the frontlines.
HELPING DISTILLERIES PRODUCE HAND SANITIZER

Recently Congressman John Yarmuth and I worked across the aisle to help our distilleries be allowed to keep making hand sanitizer. We are all Americans first and together we will win this fight.

ACCESS TO FEDERAL FUNDS FOR KENTUCKY

I am grateful for our bipartisan effort and the President’s quick response on approving Kentucky’s request for a federal disaster declaration. This helps ensure that Kentucky has the resources and funding it needs to combat COVID-19.
