John, I don’t take running for governor lightly.

I entered this race because I want every Granite Stater to have the opportunities they deserve to thrive.

And not only did the Cook Political Report declare this race a “toss-up,” but recent public polling shows that I am in a dead heat against Republican frontrunner and anti-choicer Kelly Ayotte.

We can win this race, but it will take a wave of support from New Hampshire Democrats to make it happen.

We absolutely cannot let Trump’s insistence on flipping New Hampshire red give far-right extremists like Ayotte the momentum they need to fire up their base and come out on top in November.
