The IDF continued its operation at the Shifa Hospital over the weekend, killing and capturing Hamas terrorists who hid and fought from inside the medical facility.
IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi spoke to soldiers from inside the hospital on Friday and hailed the "very, very successful" two-week operation. "So far, very great achievements," he said. "No one can roll back such a large amount of arrested terrorists, such a large amount of dead terrorists, so many senior people."
Halevi added that the IDF has "achieved its goal" but will continue to root out remaining terrorists "until it is announced that we are done."
In another sign of Hamas' despicable human shields strategy, today the IDF seized a massive cache of weapons inside the maternity ward of the hospital.
Dozens of mortar shells, explosive devices, sniper rifles, Kalashnikov rifles, and ammunition were found stashed inside pillows, hospital beds, and ceiling panels.
Below are photos of what the IDF found inside the maternity ward.
Captured terrorists say Hamas 'collapsing from within'
Israel has gained a trove of intelligence from the hundreds of Palestinian terrorists captured in recent weeks, who now admit that the terror group is collapsing.
"In the last week or two, hundreds of terrorists have been captured and what they say about what happened to them tells the whole story," IDF Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said today.
"In the last few days, we have also seen very great progress, both in the terrorists in the field, and with regard to more senior commanders, even very senior ones," he added. "We are going to eliminate everyone who was involved in the events of October 7."
400 trucks worth of aid transferred by Israel left waiting to be distributed by U.N.
Israel is surging aid faster than the U.N. can distribute it.
The content of 400 aid trucks inspected and transferred to Gaza by Israel is currently sitting untouched and waiting to be distributed by aid agencies on the other side of the border.
Israel published the photo below showing pallets of aid waiting to be picked up by the international agencies responsible for distribution.
Israel has repeatedly said there is no limit to the amount of aid it can transfer into Gaza. The burden is on the U.N. to deliver it.
IDF eliminates top Hezbollah commander in Lebanon
Today the IDF targeted and killed a senior Hezbollah commander in a drone strike in southern Lebanon.
Ismail Ali al-Zin, according to the IDF, was a senior commander in Hezbollah's elite Radwan anti-tank missile unit.
Al-Zin had a "significant source of knowledge regarding anti-tank missiles and was responsible for dozens of anti-tank missile attacks against Israeli civilians, communities and security forces."
Israeli team heading to Cairo to continue hostage deal talks
Israel is sending another delegation of Shin Bet and Mossad officials to continue negotiations on a potential hostage release deal.
Hamas has rejected multiple offers agreed to by Israel, including most recently last Monday, to pause fighting in exchange for the release of Israeli hostages and of hundreds of convicted Palestinian terrorists.
According to reports, Israel is now willing to release as many as 800 terrorists from prison, including 100 inmates convicted of murder.
U.S. officials confirmed earlier this month that a six-week pause would take effect if Hamas agreed to release vulnerable hostages, including women and the ill, injured and elderly -- but Hamas has refused.
Hamas is prolonging this war. Those calling for a ceasefire now should place the blame on the terrorist organization preventing it from happening.
🎥 ICYMI: 5 Minutes with West Point's John Spencer on Rafah
America's foremost expert on urban warfare, Maj. John Spencer, joined AIPAC to discuss why a ground operation in Rafah is essential for Israel to achieve its war objectives of destroying Hamas and freeing the hostages. Watch and share this video.
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
