Hey John,
I recently shared my experiences with testing positive for COVID-19 and the subsequent self-quarantine. But the pain from this pandemic is being felt by the entire country, this grassroots team included. I’d like to highlight some personal stories from this team today.
Since asking supporters to tell us how they are making it through pandemic-induced social distancing, we’ve received hundreds of responses from around the country. Your messages have been inspiring, heartwarming, and illuminating.
We are all coping with this as best we can. It's tough, which is why we have to depend on one another. I’m grateful to those of you checking on elderly neighbors, grocery shopping for yourself and others to limit trips, and staying in touch with friends and family over video chat. I really appreciate your coping tips, best wishes, and personal thoughts, team. If you haven’t sent yours in yet, you can do that here.
Thanks for everything you’re doing to help foster that sense of community. Keep FaceTiming loved ones, keep hosting Happy Hours on Zoom, keep checking on your elderly neighbors, and, importantly, keep practicing social distancing - so we can bend the curve and stop the spread of COVID-19.
