I know you are likely hearing a lot about an “FEC end-of-quarter deadline” that is today at midnight, so I want to explain what this deadline is. Every month and quarter, the Michigan Democratic Party files an FEC report that shows the cash we have on hand and our expenses. These reports are publicly available, which means anyone can look at them.

The reason I am going to ask you to make a contribution before this deadline tonight [[link removed]] is because our strength is represented by these public reports. These reports show how many resources we have to invest in our programs this year and how prepared we are to help Democrats win.

We have a lot of work to do in Michigan this year which is why this first FEC end-of-quarter deadline is so important. We need to fuel our programs this year so we can ultimately:
