Rashida Tlaib doesn’t accept corporate contributions, relying instead on the support of thousands of grassroots supporters from across Michigan and the country.

Over the last 5 months as our government has facilitated a genocide, 30,000 new supporters have donated to support Rashida’s voice in our movement to save lives with a permanent ceasefire and equal human rights for the Palestinian people.

As the only Palestinian American member of Congress, Rashida’s bold leadership is essential. It helped pave the way for the 79 members of Congress to come out in support of a ceasefire, and more are starting to take stands against U.S. military aid to Israel.

But, many Congressmembers remain intimidated by threats from anti-Palestinian group AIPAC, which has pledged to spend $100 million in an attempt to defeat Rashida and other pro-ceasefire candidates running for election or re-election this year. Just this week, AIPAC paid for members of Congress to fly to Israel and meet with the genocidal Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

We must continue to grow our pro-ceasefire movement in the face of AIPAC’s $100 million campaign.

Tonight at midnight we will close the books on a critical end-of-quarter fundraising deadline and we need to continue to show the power of our grassroots anti-war movement.

That’s why she is demanding an immediate, lasting ceasefire to save lives and ensure basic human rights for Palestinians who have been living under an apartheid system of government and an inhumane blockade. That’s how we build safety for all people, to treat all life as sacred.

Our movement for human rights is growing, as more people are outraged by our government’s complicity and want the horrors to stop. A majority of Americans (and 75% of Democrats) disapprove of Israeli military action in Gaza. These public opinion shifts matter, and they get the attention of leaders in our federal government with the power to change policy.
