Dear John,
As you may have already spotted in the Sunday Times <[link removed]> this morning, we’ve released our latest mega-poll. It’s not good news for the Prime Minister, or his Cabinet colleagues, but it shows why tactical voting and accurate information is going to be so important to help voters get it right on polling day.
<[link removed]>If one thing is overwhelmingly clear from the poll - which asked more than 15,000 people how they would vote if the election was tomorrow - it’s that this will be a change election. This is the first time our best-in-class constituency forecasts show Sunak's Tories winning fewer than 100 seats.
Huge numbers of voters look set to switch support away from the Tories and Reform UK have surged ahead to second place in seven constituencies. Despite losses elsewhere, the Tories also look set to regain several of the seats they’ve lost in recent by-elections.
<[link removed]>Read the full breakdown here <[link removed]>Sunak still has control over the timing of the election. Reform UK could continue to take support from the Conservatives to gain kingmaker power in ever-more seats, and boundary changes mean these are no longer the constituencies voters are familiar with.
That is why we are relaunching 2019’s most accurate tactical voting site GetVoting.org <[link removed]> <[link removed]> to help voters make an informed decision. With all this uncertainty voters will need up-to-the-minute data to know exactly how to get it right in their area.
We’re ready whenever Rishi Sunak finally finds the nerve to call the General Election. Sign up for alerts on GetVoting.org <[link removed]> so you can be ready too.
In the meantime, wishing you a very happy Easter.
