Friends,

After the U.S. Women’s National Team won the World Cup, I got together with the 24 other women in the Senate and invited the team to Capitol Hill – to talk with us about the issues facing women on and off the pitch.

And at the top of that list? Equal pay.

If you believe that the U.S. Women’s National Team – and women across the country – deserve equal pay for equal work, add your name to the petition now!

I’m really glad to see that the team’s fight for equal pay is making headlines. But there are millions more women across the country not making headlines – who quietly take home smaller paychecks than the guys, week after week. Nationwide, women are paid just 81 cents for every dollar that a white man earns. And for women of color, the numbers are even worse.

This isn’t complicated: We need to pay women what they’re worth. And it’s time for Congress to step up and make it happen.

I need 100 more people like you to speak up by midnight tonight and join me in demanding fair pay for women. Sign the petition: Tell Congress to pass laws guaranteeing equal pay for equal work!

Thanks,

Jeanne
