When you're wrong about something, after some time passes, just deciding that you were right doesn't mean that you weren't wrong. Can we get that message to Bill Maher and all of the other folks rewriting COVID history to fit their agenda.
After all, as we learn more and more about COVID and COVID vaccines, all we are really discovering is that all of these folks were really, really wrong.
Bill Maher is Still Wrong About COVID
Bill Maher is not only wrong, he's dead wrong.
To be fair, he didn't directly say all of the things on the list, but he did criticize wearing masks, social distancing, COVID tests, handwashing, and showing support for front line workers.
Bill Maher also pushed several other ideas that are wrong, like the lab leak theory and that natural immunity is better than vaccinated immunity.
You Can't Rewrite COVID History
And many other so-called COVID experts have been trying to rewrite COVID history by pushing the ideas on the list.
"But instead of evolving their position based on new data, some, instead, keep trying to show how they were still right in early 2020, digging themselves an even deeper hole."
Why can’t some scientists just admit they were wrong about Covid?
Why?
You can't sell ivermectin prescriptions if people think it doesn't work...
-
COVID came from a lab- the lab leak theory has never been proven and most experts have "stated that the COVID-19 pandemic most likely originated via a natural zoonotic event, defined as an event in which a non-human animal infected a human, and in which the infection did not occur in the course of any form of virological or biomedical research." -
Ivermectin worked- ivermectin works great to treat head lice and roundworm parasites, but not COVID. -
Masks offered no benefit and were harmful- the only thing that was harmful was the misinformation saying masks do more harm than good! - Should have never kept kids out of school - closing schools for extended periods of time did come at a high cost - kids fell way behind, especially when you consider there weren't many benefits - COVID continued to spread in those communities. Should experts have known that? Closing schools did seem to work in previous large outbreaks and likely had some benefit early in the pandemic...
-
Natural immunity is better than vaccinated immunity- natural immunity is certainly not better, because you have to earn that immunity by surviving a life-threatening infection! And you have the added risk of long-covid, even if you do survive. -
Long COVID is often a symptom of long vax- this is not true. In fact, studies have shown that COVID vaccines reduce your risk of developing long-covid. -
Hospitals murdered COVID patients- this is not true. The COVID pandemic did overwhelm and put a significant strain on our health care system though. -
COVID fatality rate and death count were highly inflated- this has been debunked repeatedly. COVID death counts were not inflated. -
Unvaccinated were scapegoated for the failure of the shots- COVID vaccines have been very successful. Variants and not being up to date are the reason for the "failure of the shots." Those claiming scapegoating also see "significant C19 risk overestimation among the public" but cite folks like John Ioannidis to make their point. If Bill Maher wants to highlight scapegoating, it should be the "incidents of bias, harassment, bullying, isolation, exclusion and racism against the Asian community and those who are perceived as being Chinese or Asian" during the COVID pandemic. -
Early treatment was suppressed to make way for a "vaccine"- from injecting bleach, to taking chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, doxycycline, fluvoxamine, and ivermectin, some people tried everything and anything to keep from getting sick with COVID or to get better. And far from suppressing these off-label treatments, most (well, not injecting bleach) were put to the test in clinical trials. -
Risks of the jab were intentionally hidden from the public- from anaphylaxis to blood clots with some vaccines and myocarditis, the risks of COVID vaccines have been very widely publicized. What is hidden? Folks like Bill Maher rarely if ever seem to talk about the risks of getting COVID if you are intentionally unvaccinated - the long-term complications of COVID! - Vaccine mandates are wrong - COVID vaccine mandates were probably not a good idea...
-
More shots = more risk of infection- this is not true! Getting an updated COVID vaccine, and no, there are not nine or 10 shots now, will help protect you from the latest variants. -
COVID shots are neither safe nor effective- this is not true!
COVID vaccines are not only safe and effective, with few risks, they are necessary, as COVID is still a life-threatening disease.
Too many people who likely listen to folks like Bill Maher have gotten that message too late.
Don't be one of them.
"Because it seems to me that we haven't learned a thing."
Bill Maher
Get vaccinated and protected with an updated COVID vaccine.
