Hi John,
It's been an absolute whirlwind of a month for all of us. We've received a slew of major endorsements ( including Senator Bernie Sanders! ), opened our campaign office, and received the backing of some of the top progressive organizations in the country!
I'm incredibly humbled to see how far we've come, John. Every day, our team is building momentum and showing that we are the campaign to beat!
But, John, while big national endorsements are very exciting, nothing means more to me than the support we've received here in OR-03.
I'm thrilled to share that in the last week, we've gained the support of some major labor unions here, including Oregon AFSCME, The Oregon State Building Trades Council, and IBEW Local 48. These unions join Ironworkers Local 29, which endorsed me back in November, and I can't begin to tell you how honored I am to have their trust. A strong labor movement is crucial to ensuring that folks in our district can earn a quality living wage with access to good health care - and to creating a fairer economic system that allows families to prosper through generations. When I get to Congress next year, I will be proud to stand firmly as your pro-union representative!
But, John, to make this happen, we need to ensure that we don't take anything for granted in the final weeks before the May primary.
