Friends,
I’m so proud to represent and deliver for my hometown in Congress.
Washington may be more chaotic than ever, but during my time here, I’ve built real, productive partnerships across the aisle to make progress and do good in people’s lives – especially in areas like military quality of life and data privacy.
At the same time, I’ve pushed back on extreme GOP policies when they don’t align with San Diego’s values.
At 35 years old, I’m the youngest member of House leadership, where I can directly advocate for San Diego in the rooms where decisions are made.
It’s not an easy time to get things done (and yes, I know that’s in the running for understatement of the century). We’re facing challenges from so many directions. An extreme Republican party led by an authoritarian egomaniac that refuses to govern. A coordinated, decades-long movement to roll back reproductive rights that’s gaining steam and inflicting real harm on millions of people. A gun violence crisis that’s cruelly cutting far too many lives short.
These are all fights that require our energy and our commitment.
But we’ve fought and won before, and I know we can do it again.
I’d be honored to continue serving my community and my generation in Congress, and I hope I have your support in my re-election campaign.
If I do – would you consider chipping in any amount right now to help us reach our March FEC fundraising goal? The deadline is tomorrow at midnight, and we’re so close.
Thank you so much.
