Hi, friend, Reverend Warnock, here.

My team told me to keep it short, so I’ll save the sermon for Sunday morning!

Look, with so much on the line for November’s election, Democrats in my great state of Georgia could really use your help before their major end-of-quarter deadline, so I’m asking you to please split a donation between their team and mine before our deadline tomorrow at midnight.

The road to the White House runs through Georgia and our democracy is on the line, but I’m sure you’ve already heard me say that. What you may not have heard me say is that I believe democracy is the political enactment of a spiritual idea. It’s this notion that each of us has within us a spark of the divine—each of us has value. And since we have value, our voices matter.

In just a few months, we’ll use our voices to vote and determine the direction of our country and our destiny within it. President Biden and Democrats up and down the ballot are committed to protecting voting rights, reproductive freedom, health care, jobs, the environment, and everything else that matters to you.

As a pastor, I often say that a vote is a kind of prayer for the world we desire for ourselves and for our children. Voting is one way to put your faith into action. But there are so many other ways, too—including by giving to those who share your beliefs.

So, I’m asking you tonight to give what you can if you believe in what we believe in—things like freedom, equality, diversity, and democracy. Please split a donation between my team and the Democratic Party of Georgia so we can re-elect President Biden and put some collective power behind our prayers!

Keep the faith and keep looking up,

Rev. Raphael Warnock
