Every 20 minutes, another kid like Lucy hears the life-altering news that they have a critical illness. For kids and their families facing these diagnoses, the future is filled with uncertainty, long hospital stays, painful treatments and the loss of their sense of normalcy. With thousands of waiting kids experiencing this reality every day, it’s urgent that we start World Wish Month – one of the most important times for us here at Make-A-Wish® – off on the strongest possible note.
