Dear Friends,
As America and the world continue to grapple with the challenge of fighting the Coronavirus and overcoming economic hardship, the Pacific Research Institute is committed to providing sound policy ideas in this time of uncertainty.
We've just launched a new section on our website, www.pacificresearch.org, which will be updated on a regular basis with the latest op-eds, podcast episodes, news article citations, and videos on the policy implications from the pandemic, with a particular focus on health care, K-12 education, and jobs and the economy.

In responding to the crisis, our policy experts continue to present PRI’s bold policy solutions to our citizenry, policymakers, the media, and the public. We consistently employ an aggressive communications and grassroots outreach strategy to maximize our impact in the public policy arena and the country.
Just this morning, PRI Senior Fellow Henry Miller was the featured expert on FoxNews.com's "Coronavirus: Ask An Expert Live Blog," where he answered viewer-submitted questions on the virus from Fox News reporter Madeline Farber.

I would encourage you to read my latest Fox News op-ed, which explains how proposals for price controls would make it harder to develop lifesaving vaccines and treatments for COVID-19. Last week, I appeared on "The Kirby Wilbur Show" on KVI AM 570 in Seattle to discuss why the pandemic is not a good argument for "Medicare for All." Click here to listen to my appearance. I am a guest on a regular basis on the national "Larry Elder Show" on Salem Radio Network.
Last week, former Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) died after a years-long fight with prostate cancer. He was a great man and admired for his strong positions by me and so many others. I was so pleased that while fighting a courageous battle against cancer, he found the time to write a terrific foreword to my new book False Premise, False Promise: The Disastrous Reality of Medicare for All (January 2020).
I hope that you and your family are staying healthy. We look forward to keeping you updated on PRI's COVID-19 coverage in the days and weeks ahead.
Thank you for your support of PRI.
Sincerely,
Sally C. Pipes
President, CEO, and Thomas W. Smith Fellow in Health Care Policy
