I didn’t decide to run for Congress, John. I was called.
You see, I’m a product of the foster care system, a renter, and a working class mother of five. I’ve been failed by every system that was supposed to keep me safe. And I know I’m not alone in that.
But I’ve always known there’s power in being of service, and my community made it clear: they need something new, and they need it from me.
So I started by building a movement. One by the people, for the people. No trust funds, special interest groups, or corporate PACs (something my opponents can’t say). No writing myself checks from my mansion.
Instead, I’m calling back to those who called me. I’m calling on YOU, name, to be part of powering this grassroots movement for change.
If you and everyone reading this email chips in just $1 (yes, just $1), I know we can hit the last End of Quarter goal we have before my election. I also know we have to hit this goal to stay on track.
With your support, we can take this all the way to Congress, where we’ll make real change. All it takes is $1 today. So please, rush a donation now to fuel this people-powered movement and send somebody who gets it to Congress >>
Grateful for you,
Tekesha
