John, it's Ted Terry.

You all know one of my biggest accomplishments as County Commissioner was securing the DeKalb Green New Deal to rapidly transform our county, but I want to make sure you know exactly how it was possible.

Here's a picture from our Green New Deal Summit – and as you can tell, I'm not standing on that stage by myself.

DeKalb Green New Deal Summit

The DeKalb Green New Deal didn't happen in a day, and it definitely wasn't something I did all on my own:

💡 The DeKalb Green New Deal, like all other policy initiatives, started as an idea – reflecting the needs of our community and the failure of our state government to act.

🗣️ And I wasn't the only person with this idea. As I traversed the county doing town halls, spotlighting local businesses, and meeting with my constituents, I found that sustainability, affordable housing, and access to care were all common desires that united folks in our community.

✅ Harnessing that power, we saw more and more people-first progressives elected to our county commission – that then voted to affirm the county-wide Green New Deal movement, providing new jobs, sustainable infrastructure, and a 100% clean-energy commitment for the county!

Tons of people up and down the chain of command working TOGETHER is what makes stuff like this possible – I can't do it alone, without you OR other progressive commissioners.

With no primary opponent, I now have the perfect opportunity to use my grassroots coalition to support candidates that love DeKalb just as much as we do – and will help us execute on our vision for DeKalb's future.

So John, I'm reaching out to ask: will you help me continue uplifting progressives across DeKalb during this election cycle by chipping in any amount toward the $2,441 we need to reach our End of Quarter Fundraising Goal?

In Unity,
Ted Terry
