You might not know this, but I first ran for Congress in 2016 and lost by fewer than 7,000 votes. It was a tough loss, but I didn't give up.

I ran again in 2018 and defeated my Republican opponent, helping secure a Democratic House majority. This grassroots team supported me in winning again in 2020 and 2022, despite facing the most expensive congressional race in Minnesota history the last time around.

Now, regardless of which of my opponents wins the GOP nomination, I’ll be up against an extreme MAGA Republican with the full support of Speaker Mike Johnson and his allies. The GOP will stop at nothing to expand their narrow majority to get the votes to enact their far-right agenda.

I know I can win with the support of this grassroots team, as long as we keep up our momentum. When we come together around our shared priorities — from lowering healthcare costs to protecting reproductive rights — we can do anything.
