It is hard to explain just how important tomorrow's deadline is for the School Board Integrity Project.

 

If we're going to have any chance of stopping the far-right from taking over Minnesota's school boards, banning books, and institutionalizing discrimination in our schools, we have to have the resources to stop them.

 

That means topping our goal this month so we can keep recruiting and training progressive candidates.

 

 

For me this is personal.

 

Growing up I faced a whole lot of bigotry, especially at school.

 

After years of fighting through, I was a plaintive in a lawsuit against my school district that ended with the Departments of Justice and Education intervening to protect LGBTQ+ students in our district.
