First, Katie Porter delivered universal free coronavirus testing with her
masterful questioning of the CDC director during a congressional
hearing.(1)

Then, last week, Katie Porter got tested for COVID-19 herself -- and,
while in self-quarantine, used social media to fight for protective gear
for health-care workers. (Thankfully, she tested negative.)(2)

Katie Porter is one of the true heroes of the coronavirus crisis, but
she's also one of the GOP's top targets for defeat in 2020. She represents
a red-leaning district, and we're going all out to make sure she gets
reelected in November.

While Trump and his enablers in Congress continue to downplay the severity
of this crisis and bungle the response at every level -- endangering
countless lives in the process -- Rep. Porter has been charging the way
forward.

Katie did the math in a congressional hearing, showing that coronavirus
testing could cost more than $1,300 out of pocket for the average American
-- and forced the CDC to commit to free testing for all Americans.

Katie's amazing record doesn't end there. She's only been in Congress
since early last year, but in that short time, Katie has put the big banks
and pharma companies on notice with Jedi-level questioning -- and getting
results.

But Rep. Porter is still facing a very competitive race for reelection.
Her district leans red and Republicans are targeting it as one of their
top pickup opportunities in November. The GOP is likely to flood the race
with tens of millions of dollars in support of her opponent.

To counter that effort, Courage California is planning a major program to
make sure Katie comes out on top. Using our voter guide and a
state-of-the-art text-message and social media campaign, we're going to
get the word out about this progressive champion so everyone in her
district knows who they should vote for.

Working together, we can make sure Katie gets reelected and send her
Republican opponent packing. But it's going to take all of us coming
