I recently returned from an eye-opening visit to the Tucson, AZ border, a trip facilitated by Johnathon Alexander from Live Border News. As a staunch advocate for national security, the experience deeply reinforced my concerns about the state of our border under the current administration. Will you support my campaign to secure the border?
During this visit, I had the opportunity to join Jim Chilton, an 82-year-old cattle rancher, for a ride-along on his 50,000-acre ranch, which includes 5 miles of the US-Mexico border. Jim shared with me distressing evidence: his trail cameras, set up across the ranch, have captured over 3,500 cartel members traversing his land in the last three years.
The footage revealed fighting-aged males in full camouflage, carrying backpacks filled with drugs and large water jugs of liquid meth
– a substance enabling them to cover vast distances rapidly.
The cartel's presence has brought tangible threats. Jim's cowboys face constant intimidation, and he himself has been burglarized twice, losing firearms, computers, and more. This is not an isolated situation. Just in the Tucson sector, Border Patrol seized over 64,000 grams of fentanyl – enough to kill every American.
But what shocked me the most was discovering the role of our own government in exacerbating this crisis. Contrary to my belief that the cartels were dismantling the border wall, I learned it was the Biden Administration instructing the Army Corps of Engineers to replace parts of the wall with mere barbed wire, easily breached. The Sasabe AZ port of entry stood abandoned, while nearby, where the government had dismantled our defenses, I personally witnessed over 100 illegal crossings in just one hour.
These revelations raise alarming questions:
Why is our government facilitating this crisis?
Why are they welcoming the cartel?
Why aren’t more of our leaders witnessing these realities firsthand?
