Investigate genocide funding NOW.

Folks,

Last week Congress passed a $1.2 trillion dollar spending bill meant to fund the routine, essential functions of government.

I called it the ‘Starve the Children’ bill and I wasn’t exaggerating. Hidden in the bill was an extended ban on funding for UNRWA, the UN agency currently standing in the shrinking gap between the people of Gaza and mass death from starvation.

But it gets worse.

The bill also included another $3.8 BILLION in military aid for Israel to keep proliferating their genocide against Gaza, as well as provisions that would sanction the U.N. for even *mentioning* Israeli war crimes and BLOCK the Palestinian Authority from taking their own case to the ICJ.

It was a bill designed, top to bottom, to guarantee the continued, illegal assault on Gaza.

MORE DEMOCRATS VOTED FOR THIS ATROCITY THAN REPUBLICANS – including my opponent, Rick Larsen.

I’m not the only one who noticed. I met these folks by chance while driving through my district today:

A photo of three protesters on a street corner in Washington’s 2nd congressional district. The man on the left holds a sign that says “End the War.” The woman in the middle holds a sign saying “Immigrants Built America.” And the man on the right holds a long banner that reads: “Rick Larsen: Baby Killer.”

So far nearly a quarter million people have voted “Uncommitted” in the Democratic primary since the movement launched just over a month ago. A massive majority – 74% – of Americans support a permanent ceasefire to stop the Israeli assault and occupation of Palestine.

Americans are DONE watching our public funds spent on war and devastation, and they clearly want it to end.

I believe the BILLIONS Congress and the White House have funneled to Israel to perpetuate these crimes are in violation of U.S. and international law. I’ve joined forces with Dr. Jill Stein, whose campaign has called for an independent investigation into funding for genocide.

Will you add your name to that call?

A graphic featuring a scene of devastation in Gaza with a young man holding his baby brother in his arms, with an image of the U.S. Capitol building in the foreground. The caption reads: Investigate Genocide Funding NOW. There is a logo for Call for Congress in the lower left corner.

Only 22 Democrats had the backbone to vote against last week’s ‘Starve the Children’ bill. It’s never been more clear that we need uncorrupted leaders of good conscience to fight for basic human dignity in Congress.

You can help me send a message – and upset the balance of power – by winning this seat and electing me to be the first ever Green Party member to Congress. Chip in $25 now to put towards our canvassing program, kicking off TOMORROW.

The politicians happy to continue funding genocide must be made to pay for that choice at the ballot box. I intend to do that in November, but I need your support to make it happen.

We will not stop until Palestine is free and everyone responsible for their destruction is held accountable.

In solidarity,

Jason
