About 6.7 million people or 3.3% of adults age 30 and over lived with their grandchildren in 2021, according to recently released Census Bureau data.
Nationally, roughly 32.7% of grandparents living with their grandchildren [ [link removed] ] under the age of 18 were responsible for their care.

Census Bureau research shows the COVID-19 pandemic widened the mortality gap [ [link removed] ] between the nation’s Black and White populations and completely erased the mortality advantage of the Hispanic population in relation to the non-Hispanic White population.
