New Zealand First defeats SFO for the third time

New Zealand First has again been victorious against the continued attacks from the Serious Fraud Office; the first time in September 2020, just prior to the general election.

In a press release this week, party leader Winston Peters outlined the outrageous process the party went through, defending itself against allegations that have been quashed three times now. The Court of Appeal’s ruling this week has only reinforced what New Zealand First stated from the very start – there was no wrongdoing.

In case there is any doubt, New Zealand First, lead by Winston Peters, will continue to call out bias and corruption, even when it’s unpopular. Listen here for Winston’s comments on the ruling.

April tour schedule & 6 month update

We are excited to announce that our MP team will be doing a range of public meetings up and down the country next month during a two week recess from parliament. Each meeting will be held by one or two of our MP team, relative to their own electorates.

As a grass roots party, New Zealand First loves being out and about in the community to meet our supporters and keep them up to date on what we are achieving in parliament.

We understand that not everyone will be close to one of these meetings and have covered as much ground as possible with the schedule, but we hope to see as many of you as we can during the tour.

We will remind you of these dates over the next few weeks.

Covid inquiry

Following the public submissions period on the terms of inquiry over February and March, it was announced that over 11,000 submissions were received through the online portal.

This feedback will inform the advice to be taken to Cabinet where the next stage of the inquiry process will be set.

As always, we will bring you these updates as they happen.

Happy Easter from the NZF team

Wishing everyone a safe and happy long weekend over Easter.

Here are a few interviews to catch up on from some of the team this week as you head into the Easter break:
