While Republicans were able to take the House by a thin margin in 2022, Eric managed to fend them off in this battleground district. And now that they have their handpicked challenger, the GOP is likely to invest massively to defeat Eric as they look to maintain their grip on power in the House.

As you read this email, political pundits are calling IL-17 “the most competitive House race in Illinois,” and Speaker Johnson and National Republicans have explicitly called Eric out as a top target for this election cycle.
